Sheep and Goats: Two Classes – Obedient & Disobedient [S02E37]
When Christ returns to gather His own, there will be but two classes: the obedient and the disobedient. And to better explain this to His hearers, Jesus uses a practical example to explain the judgement work, we read this in Matthew 25:31 – “When the Son of man shall come in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then shall He sit upon the throne of His glory: and before Him shall be gathered all nations: and He shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: and He shall set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left.”
After the separation takes place, some will say “Lord, Lord, do You not know us? Have we not prophesied in Thy name? and in Thy name cast out devils? and in Thy name done many wonderful works?” This will be the class who only ‘claimed’ sanctification but in reality they were “at war with the law of God”. In fact, Christ calls them workers of iniquity because they are deceivers, having on the garments of righteousness to hide the deformity of their characters, the inward wickedness of their unholy hearts.
The righteous on the other hand, as they behold Christ at His coming, will exclaim, “Lo, this is our God; we have waited for Him, and He will save us.” Isaiah 25:9
While we watch for the Lord’s coming, we are to be diligently working and continue to be Strengthen in Scripture!
