How to overcome laziness and distractions?

1.3kviews

When you are What would applying for good paying, responsible job, or are looking to hire responsible employees to help grow your business or you are looking for a spouse, the first thing you look for is good character traits.

The Bible gives us very clear moral guidelines which are translated into character traits. Character is who you are – your thoughts (even the secret ones), your words, your actions all combined. The Bible also gives us guidelines about our lifestyle, again a reflection of God’s love to us and through us. This character trait is called: diligence.

What is the opposite of diligence, it is laziness 🙁

There is so much that could be said about laziness, but the Bible makes it simple. It’s not good! The lazy person does not accomplish what they should or could. They waste time, energy, materials, influence, talents and relationships because they are unwilling to put forth the required diligent effort to accomplish what the Lord desires.

What if you recognize this characteristic in your own life? There are a few things you can do:
1. Desire change.
2. Choose to ask God for help and strength and then put forth diligent effort to develop new habits of thinking and doing. (Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.)
3. Do. It’s the greatest antidote for not doing (laziness). The more that you practice, the easier it will become.
