Strength In Scripture – Bad Spirits…

When a person dies, he is just that, he’s dead. But there is a group of people that claim to have the ability to ‘communicate with the dead’. Is that really so? Can you really communicate with the dead?

Ecclesiastes 9:5,6 says: “For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten. Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion forever in any thing that is done under the sun.”

What about those who believe in, and some who apparently communicate with the dead. This is known as spiritualism. What is Spiritualism? The National Spiritualist Association of Churches defines Spiritualism as: The science, philosophy and religion of continuous life, based upon the demonstrated fact of communication, by means of mediumship, with those who live in the Spirit World.

Since we have established that there is no life after death then the spirits that are contacted in séances cannot be the spirits of dead people as claimed. Neither can they be the unfallen angels, since holy angels of God would never deceive.
